New Online Triage Service

To enhance patient care and improve access to our healthcare services, we are introducing a non-urgent Online Triage Service.

The new service can be the accessed via our website, by clicking on ‘submit a request’ icon on the home page. You will then be asked a short series of questions relating to your medical concern. This form is accessible between 9am – 5pm (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri), on Thursdays between 9am -11.00am. We are unable to deal with requests outside of this timeframe or on weekends or bank holidays.

Your medical concerns will then be reviewed by a clinician, and you will receive an outcome within 72 hours, via a text message giving you clinical feedback or giving you a link to self-book an appropriate appointment.  You may also be directed to other appropriate services.

Here’s how the new Online Triage Service can be accessed:

Visit our practice website: https://www.dukemedicalcentre.nhs.uk/ and navigate to the appropriate link (Submit a request) on the home page.

We understand that not everyone may have internet access. In such cases, we assure you that our phone lines will remain open, and you will be assisted in filling in the non-urgent triage form on the phone instead, where the navigators feel this is appropriate.

The reason for this change is our phone system is being overwhelmed in the mornings and patients are having difficulty getting through to us. The platform will greatly reduce waiting times and providing a more convenient way in managing your healthcare needs.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we transition to this new system.
